Everything going wrong

December 29, 2009

My interent has been really playing up. Seems to work later in the day. Its probably all those school kids bored with the rainy weather and amusing themselves on  line, slowing the whole system down.  I have been de-bugging, anti virusing etc etc etc…wow its going to work soooo fast soon. The gas water heater is as bad, though cant blame that on the kids! Technician coming on Thursday. I suppose it will work when he is here. Ford car part has arrived and that shoul be fixed tomorrow so might be able to get that ITV´d (MOT).

The bathroom tiles have been done. I wonder if I can get that photo on line.

Rain, rain and more rain

December 27, 2009

Whoa its a week already since I did the walk in Alfarnate. What has happened. Rain, loads of it, 16 hours with out electric, dodgy internet connections, thunder and lightning oh and Christmas.

Here ´s some pictures of the floods. I took some videos but seems like I have to pay money to get the videos on the blog. If there is someone out there knows different please let me know.

Oh well, no pictures and no videos, its just not working tonight. Try again tomorrow?

More Walks

December 21, 2009

I joined the Sunday walking group for a walk out from Alfarnatejo, or is it Alfanate, never sure which one is which.

Quite a contrast to the Rio Chillar with its rolling countryside. It had a real feel of autumn that day. Its unusual for us to see any autumn colours so that was an added bonus.

Water fall on Rio Chillar

Gorge Rio Chillar

We did a great walk behind Nerja a couple of weeks ago. Following the Rio Chillar. There are just too many photos to post but take it from me it was amazing.

The mountains

We had to walk through the water for ages. It was so amazing that there was so much water after the long hot dry summer.

With me are Steve, Grant and Andis. Andis was blown out by the mountains as Latvia doesn´t get higher than 300 metres!

Wow.

Still not quite got the hang of this………where is the text I wrote to go with the fascinating picture of a wood pile?

Let me tell you , I am sooooo happy with the wood pile all neatly stacked in the shed. Simple pleasures of life hey. Especially today as I listen to that pouring rain out there.
